Worthy Park 109

Has anyone else tried the new(ish) Worthy Park 109? It is a blend of aged and unaged marks all from Worthy Park. 100% Copper Pot Distilled, Worthy Park 109 Jamaica Rum is produced using estate grown sugar cane molasses, which is fermented for 3 weeks prior to distillation. It is bottled at 54.5% ABV. It's reasonably priced and delicious, IMHO. I have been adding it to my Mai Tai with delicious results: .25oz Worthy Park 109, .75oz Appleton 12yr, 1oz Clement VSOP, .5oz each Orgeat and Ferrand Orange Curaçao. I have also been adding it to my Navy Grog and Jet Pilot with excellent results. 222743__90586 (1)

This tastes a little more like a Demerara rum than a Jamaican, but does carry characteristics of both. Definitely not “funky” like some of other Worthy Park / Rum-Bar expressions. While I would not say that my tasting talent is overly refined, I did find this to be similar to some circa 1950s Myers’s Planters Punch rum that I tried recently.
