It is Crown Lynn Wharetana Ware.
Same mold number with a different glaze.

Thanks for the info , I thought it might be too obscure , but obviously there is a a great depth of knowledge here , it was kinda of cool seeing this thing again as I can remember it from my childhood , it would be late 50s or early 60s

Bazinga! Ah, memories are a funny thing. That's the exact one I saw in the small display case. I found it interesting in 2003ish because it was in the same room as real artifacts.

I wonder if this massive sculpture in a Christchurch park remained unscathed after the earthquake.
