Fabulous!!!!
Now all it needs is one of our custom Tiki Bar Signs.
Check us out at Tiki Market Place "Tiki Bar Signs" or on our web site
http://www.madasigns.com

Is anyone else getting tired of these hard-sell tactics wid'da bar signs?

Tacky, tacky, tacky....

Great snaps Murph and Tom!

Why are these mugs in jail? Delinquents? Potential jumpers?

I kid. I absolutely love your place and am extremely jealous of your next door neighbor.

Bad Tiki mugs... Bad!

Actually the bamboo "bars" are my lame attempt at some earthquake insurance here in SoCal.

Tiki decorating is not a contest.

Tiki decorating is not a contest.
Mmmmm... not working.
What others have doesn't make what I have less cool.

What others have is cooler than what I have.
Ooops.
What others have doesn't... I give up!

I like that bamboo rack the mugs are in, is that scratch built or did you pick it up somewhere?

GROG never go swimming nude in Murph's pool again!

The conch shell bong was a huge hit!

Woohoo couldn't wait for the conch, so she broke out her own stash.

Polypop keeps his left hand for fingering the frets.
Not to be seen unless he's playing for you.

This place is incredible.
Absolutely magnificent.

All you lack is a fat guy with a uke.
I'm gonna be sending you one at some point and he will play until you say stop or the rum is gone.

Wow. This is officially my favorite forum.

This is our backyard retreat and home bar.
I spent the first 14 years of my life in Minneapolis
and the Waikiki Room was my favorite restaurant!
I would hound my parents to take me there.
Going out to dinner back then was a very rare occasion and a big event.
On my birthday we would go as a whole family, uncle, aunt, grandparents, etc...
I would always get the pressed duck, yum and a drink with an umbrella.
Fun memories and the inspiration for name: The "Waikiki Womb"

OOF- those stinky feet killed those dogs!

All kidding aside--the place looks great! :)

Wow! I don't know why I haven't commented on the Waikiki Womb before, but your place is GREAT! I would absolutely love to hang out there, let alone own that place! Very, very nice work! Looks like you have a lot of fun there too!

Ahh you caught a shot of Raul! Up until now Raul has been a shy fellow avoiding the paparazzi.
You can just make out the real rain effect in front of Raul falling from the ceiling into the trough below him.

Took me two minutes but should have known.

GROG, I never knew you were a plastic surgeon. :) It took me forever to catch it. Gosh I'm slow today.

Bigger boobs, slimmer waist, and showing a smidge more leg.

Nice work, GROG. I missed the "smidge more leg". Even without GROG's embellishments, that's a pretty racy pic for the time.

I've got gophers tunneling under the fence to avoid the cover charge at the Waikiki Womb.
The little buggers knocked a Tiki over after excavating under it!
Anyone have a sure proof way to get rid of the critters?

A friend of mine succesfully got rid of his ground squirrel problem by using a live trap like this:

After catching the ground squirrel, you can relocate it far away. Or keep it on a leash and show it off to anyone willing to look.

In anycase, this website sells them and has other solutions too.

However, if you have a lot more than one or two, it may call for drastic measures.

I have visited this thread for the first time and now I can say my mind is officially blown. What an amazing retreat. May I move in with you? No, seriously, may I? This thread really makes me miss Southern California.

Sir: humbled before you, I bow to your magnificent design, construction, imagination, sense of style and perhaps most of all, your deep-pocket tiki funds. Your work is at once depressing and inspiring, as Mozart was to Salieri.

M

Spent a late night installing these wireless remote controlled electrical outlets in the Womb.
Dang, I didn't realize how many things I've got plugged in down there!
Now I can ignite... oops light the whole Womb with the touch of one button.
No more realizing half way through the party that I missed turning on a puffer fish!

This is everyone's dream backyard! I like the bridge. Did you build it yourself, or was it purchased?

M
Murph posted on Mon, Jun 25, 2012 8:32 PM

The first bamboo bridge was purchased it looked good but wasn't functional and started to fall apart very quickly with heavy use.
It became really rickety to walk across and as everyone knows I don't want anyone to trip and break a leg in the Womb :D
so I have replaced the bridge with one that I built myself... it is much more forgiving to beautiful wahines in high heels.

Cool. Thanks!

Ok,
The official:
"WAIKIKI WOMB ROAD TRIP TO LA DESCARGA'S TIKI NIGHT"
is this coming Tuesday July 24th at 8pm

Steve, of La Descarga, has graciously invited all of us at the Womb to join him at his bar.
We did a test run this evening and I must say Joe's drinks are excellent and drinking out of a real coconut is a hoot.
If you have not been to La Descarga before you are in for a real treat... one word "armoire"

PS. if you get the munchies next door is one of the best "hole in the wall" taco joints in LA.

See you all Tuesday. Wear your tiki best.

Many of you have visited the Womb but did you know there is an elite "members only" club within the Womb?
That's right this is the Waikiki Womb's exclusive Polar Bear Club.
Only those who have braved the Womb's Lagoon during the winter months can claim membership in this secretive brotherhood.
Stop by and take a dip in the pool and claim your membership card with all the many exciting benefits it entails.

Hey Dum Dum you give me Gum Gum?

W

Awesome! Cool idea with some cool folks! (No pun intended!)
