At last,
After staying at the Caliente Tropics in 2001 and hearing from Casey that we just missed a great event by a couple of months, after a 2002 trip couldn't be extended to include the Oasis II, and not being able to go in 2003...We made it to our first Oasis.
The event was just perfect. Easy to get to (just 2-3 hours from SD), perfect location, good weather, well organized schedule and activities, great performances, tons of quality merchandise, and most important - great people to spend the time with!
I'm still recovering from the sleep depravation, but it was all well worth it.
Can't wait for next year.
So - thanks to Otto & Babydoe, Casey and the CT staff, Dave, Rebbeca & the PO staff, King Kukulele, Al & Shelly (for hosting people at 135), Cheekygirl and the Zombie taste off bartenders, Monkeyman (for the photo board), the bands (especialy Fisherman Trio, Ape, Mai Kai Gents, and the Smoking Menehunes), Bamboo Ben and Crazy Al for the Reef bar work, Cherry Capri (for the Origami shirt class that we missed, but saw the end results), Weird Uncle Tiki for the Uke camp, and all the TC people that we got to meet and got to know better.

And Casey, the only thing that could be improved is maybe to try to get the ice machines to stay full...other than that, it was great!
Poly pop and ShipwreckJoey, thanks for the compliments on the drink, it was fun mixing and getting some more people to taste it.

Mahalo, see you at the coming events, and of course, next Oasis.
