He retired after 44 years of brewing, having brewed more than seven billion servings of beer, more than enough for every person on earth to enjoy a Karl Strauss beer, to become a consultant. His cousin called him to ask about using his name & likeness and maybe some recepies for his new brewery; supposedly Karl wept @ the thought of finally having his dream beers brewed.
