Trader Vic's Tokyo - General Tiki

We'll be staying at the New Otani in Tokyo for a week of that and plan on going to Trader Vic's at least a few times while we're there. The website for Tokyo Trader Vic's is great, but we can't figure out a way to make a reservation without telling them in advance that we will be eating a specific meal while there. For those that have been before, is it really necessary to make a reservation at all? We'll hopefully be able to see The Kazan Room in Kobe as well. I'm very nervous about the whole trip so any advice is welcome. Thanks! Eric
