A change for 2018: The main Tiki Times page will now feature a running list of the top events of the year. Due to time constraints, the 2018 calendar will be limited and include only major, special events and not be broken down with a new story every month. We will make sure this list is always updated, so you can bookmark and refer here whenever you need to know when and where the big events are happening: It’s a good thing that the Tiki scene has become so robust. It's nearly impossible to follow every event in every town. We urge you to continue to support your local Tiki events and establishments, and we’ll continue to cover the highlights while focusing more intensely on South Florida, The Mai-Kai and The Hukilau. We will be dededicated in 2018 to extensive coverage of The Hukilau and and renewed focus on The Mai-Kai Cocktail Guide. Okole maluna! Here's our event listing as of today. Feb. 23 – Taste of Aloha and Art of Tiki Cocktail Showdown at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival in Miami Beach. Feb. 24 – Inuhele: Atlanta Tiki Home Bar Tour. Feb. 24-25 – Polynesian Cultural Festival in Oakland Park, Fla. April 7-8 – Rhum Fest Paris. April 14 – Chicago Rum Festival. April 19-22 – Viva Las Vegas rockabilly weekend. May 17-20 – Tiki Caliente in Palm Springs, Calif. May 28-31 – International Rum Conference in Madrid, Spain. June 6-10 – The Hukilau in Fort Lauderdale. June 9-10 – Rum Renaissance Festival in Fort Lauderdale. June 28-July 1 – Ohana: Luau At The Lake at The Tiki Resort, Lake George, N.Y. July 13-15 – Tiki Kon in Portland, Ore. July 17-22 – Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, La. Aug. 3-5 – Surf Guitar 101 Convention in Torrance, Calif. Aug. 8-12 – Tiki Oasis in San Diego, Calif. Aug. 18 – Asbury Park Surf Music Festival on the New Jersey shore. Sept. 6-9 – Huka Pele Tiki Weekender in Las Vegas. Sept. 8 – California Rum Festival in San Francisco. Sept 29 – New York Rum Festival in New York City. Oct. 13-14 – German Rum Festival in Berlin. Oct. 20-21 – UK RumFest in London.
