After doing the demerara "challenge" we determined (not surprisingly) that El Dorado 12 was the smoothest of the bunch and the best candidate as a sipper. I had diluted a few ounces of red label LH151 down to 80-proof to throw into the mix and we found that to have more character than ED8, the "Canadian" yellow label LH 80 I got in Vancouver last year, and Hamilton 86. So when we made the Hart of Darknesses and Demerara Floats we did one with El Dorado 12 and LH 151 and the other with the diluted LH151 along with full proof LH151 (In hindsight I could have just poured 1.5 oz of the 151 in the Hart of Darkness, which I believe is how the original recipe was written before the Tiki app.) In any case, the ED/LH151 blends were the better cocktail in both cases.
