"And then the Crows Came"
pyrography and acrylic tinting on wood
with a Mikel Parton (MP)
16 x 20"

"The soil,we had to get out.The water was filth. It was poison,it was sour. And then the crows came." This 30-second scene from "mad Max- Fury Road" left a lasting impression... It resembled a Pieter Bruegel (1525-1569) woodblock print come to life.... The stilted swamp walkers were evocative of his crippled beggars paintings... With this in mind, the Bruegel art books were taken from the studio shelf, examined, investigated, and after countless studies, finally rendered in pyrography,a style that would compliment his fascinating woodblock allegories and landscapes....
