Speaking of country singers...Tanya Tucker is my fave. I was channel surfing a few years back and tuned into a country music awards show just in time to catch her doing a duet with...LITTLE RICHARD!!! She tore it up. Not that that was my first exposure to her music. I used to frequent a downtown bar in the late '70's a coupla blocks from where my band rehearsed that had Tanya on the jukebox. Pumped quite a few quarters into that machine. Other female artists on my "must see" list: Annie Lennox, Sinead O'Conner, Aretha (natch) & Sade (check out her performance on the movie Absolute Beginers).
donhonyc- Russ Meyers is a classic. His movies are one-of-a-kind. I don't see his boob obsession as exploitation, but more of a celebration of his fetish where everybody has a good time and goes home happy...not unlike a good burlesque show. John Waters devotes a whole chapter to Russ and Herschell Gordon Lewis entitled "{two Masters" in his autobiography Shock Value, including an interview with him and (then) wife Kitten Natividad (Beneath the Valley of the Ultravixens).
