I don't know if people remember the Time life article on Trader Vic's way back in the late
40s I think it was, but the restroom was right by the dining room so when people would use
this restroom everybody could hear you.
Well so as to make this not so obvious the employees would make lots of noise to drowned out
the restroom noise.
This became a fun part of the place at the time so the article says.

And at Tiki Ti they have lots of things they yell out when certain drinks are ordered, it's cool I
think.

Try to go to a tiki event in California and not hear at least one WOOOHOOO.

I too don't like loud frat like tiki events bars, but if done right some things can
be cool and make the place fun.

It's when corporate try's regulate fun and demand certain things be done to show
how much fun this place is, that is when it can get fake and not so good.
Kinda a fine line.

I want one of these for my next plane trip so I can start cranking the thing the first time
a child starts crying.
