Someone help me get this damn lid off!!! - Beyond Tiki

I got the info. but then I abruptly forgot about it until last night - I followed the tips with the hot water, boiling water, rubber gloves and the Pam - still it wasn't budging. Finally I got so pissed I went to the garage and retrieved a hammer - intent to get the lid off or smash it into oblivion, whichever came first. So I layed the thing on my lap, wedged a scrap of wood under the lip and tapped it until the lid popped off! I was so happy that I didn't have to put the suffering cocktail shaker out of its misery!
