Thanks, for replies again, I'm thinking about carving the top up more to make it weigh less, and then possibly glueing it with dowels and clamps. Not my choice by far but now I want to see if there is something that can be done before cutting his feet off. Haha.
4wd I don't know much about age of the palm, I have a pile of logs that were given to me. Some so dry I don't think that are carve able some still wet inside and some that don't seem wet till u get in deeper. Also not sure if living in the super dry az heat contributes more to the cracking what do you guys think? Thanks fastbackadam
