I’m sure that I have posted a thread regarding Stox bakery/restaurant in Downey but after a long and frustrating search I am giving up. I had my camera with me during this morning’s visit and was able to get a decent pic of some carved wooden “tiles” that are behind the bar there at Stox’s. The barkeep said they are from the sixtie’s. I like the designs and I think they would fit right into most tiki environments. Most of the carvings/tiles are approx. 10x10”-some are 20x20” There doesn’t appear to be anything tiki about this place although they serve “breakfast fried rice” which looks like Loco Moco. There is also an Aloha pie on the menu.
Cheers
