It seems you do not own any of my books :( You are making me work overtime here. Tiki became not just a "design element" but a FIGUREHEAD, COMPANY LOGO, TRADEMARK:
By the late 50s/ early 60s it even popped up in Pre-Tiki concepts like "Beachcomber","Trader" or "Bali Hai" which had not used it before:
