Aloha, Does sculptor Bumpei Akaji (A university of Hawaii colleague of Edward M. Brownlee) deserve his own thread here on Tiki Central?
Here's one of his many pieces at the Blaisdale concert hall. I think I counted nine there, but the camera died after the first shot. This is metal on metal with many overlapping Hawaii petroglyphs. |
