The card says;

Hand carved in Hawaii

AKUA

Ancients Hawaiians created an image to represent a god (Akua) or ancestral guardian spirit.

These images carved on wood were termed KI-I, generally called "AKUA KI-I".

AKUA KI-Is played an important part in the lives of hawaiians because every other man and woman had their God and Goddess.

The power of the AKUA invoked by prayer ( PULE ) brought good fortune to the Hawaiians.

May this KI-I bring you good fortune.
