From the Beach Bum: "To make nutmeg syrup, in a saucepan place 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup water, and 1/4 cup crushed whole nutmeg (use a mortar and pestle; you’ll need about 8 to 10 nutmegs). Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar, then lower heat and simmer lightly for 15 minutes. Cool, strain, and bottle it. It’ll keep a week in the fridge." |
