I have been looking for Tiki things at yardsales and thrift stores around Charlotte, NC and I NEVER find anything, but this weekend I was like a little kid when I found the following items. I know the salt & pepper shakers aren't anything exciting and are cheap, but I'm happy. :) My mother-in-law saw the bowl and asked if I wanted it. She thought it was "Monkey Pod Wood", but I'm not sure. Is there a way to find out? There are no labels on any of it. The bowl has what looks like the remnants of a small gold sticker, but you can't tell what it used to say.

Any thoughts?

I was stationed in the Philippines from 1970 through 1972 and sent a lot of Monkey Pod home. I see a lot of it here in Southern California. Pictures make it difficult but the grain certainly looks like monkey pod to me. The salt and pepper shakers look like they might be Treasure craft. Treasure craft normally have a holder for them. I found these last week. The color and texture look like treasure craft to me but I'm no expert on it. Maybe someone else can identify them for certain for you. Nice finds.
