You're a little late....

On 2009-12-01 22:13, Bay Park Buzzy hopped off his "I'm in Tiki Magazine this month" cloud and decided to chime in:
I wore shirts like those when I was a kid.
Then my dad got a job!
I haven't used that joke since '82.
Buzzy Out!
PS Are those shirts screen printed, or are they just those shitty iron ons you get at the mall?

I think i dropped that joke in 84
it worked for a few years when i was in the Marines
Those boys have no sense of style civilian-wise
except my close brothers Spoon and Hicks
(shout-out!)

And to answer your question...
They are neither...
They are a SPECIAL kind of BRAND NEW Heat Sublimation process for 100% cotton

But you know that because i gave Buzzy a shirt last Chop..
In fact, he RAVES about these t-shirts in the latest Tiki Magazine
and i quote.....

"It began when i got a cool t-shirt from Ken Ruzic because i wanted a print of the first one,And then it just took on a life of its own.It has become my favorite shirt and a weird sort of collectible! People actually look forward to seeing me wear it (as I'm a wee little man ,so it looks like a fancy Tiki Dress!)and want that shirt-some have all four designs! It's been a fun tradition."

like i said..
They are a SPECIAL kind of BRAND NEW Heat Sublimation process for 100% cotton
You can't see the edges
they blend seamlessly into the shirt
and there's no waxy "hand" to them
We work with the softest hand ink at my work
and this has the same hand...
the colors retain their brilliance
it won't fade or crackle with age
(like screen prints often will)
and, if we were to print those index
it would be AT LEAST 12 colors to get it looking close to the original art
Whereas this process allows me to give the public an accurate piece of art
for a very reasonable price...
I traded the original art from these
(they're for coffee cups-still tweaking the art...)
and decided to get some tees and prints instead..
So i could share these with the (so far un-responsive economically) public
in lieu of cash to spend on art supplies
and the operation for my stuttering blind crippled nephew
(But let's not dwell on that...)
:)

leleliz-So glad you're enjoying this.....
now go crawl back up Clysdalle's butt and let the grown-ups chat....
aaaand.....
unlike most tees out there
You get a FULL-COLOR design on this one!
not just 1-2 colors
all about the perceived bargain....

oh brother!
Heckling AND Marketing can be some Tooooough work....
:)
