Both rare & beautiful Benny Kaneaiakala & His All-Star Orchestra turned out a FINE LP of Hawaiian dance band numbers..."Island Rendezvous","Manuela Boy","Waltz Medley" among others.

I really don't know why this private pressing didn't get more airplay & attention than it did..it's a great hapa-haole LP & features some heavy hitters assisting..Gabby Pahinui, Alvin & Norman Isaacs, and of course Sam Kahalewai. Would be a great CD re-release to garner some attention it never originally got.

The great cover speaks for itself. Kealoha Kalama is still around today, but she used to have regular shows at the Waikiki hotels in the 70s. She's one of those Hawaiian aunties known for wearing a veritable flower garden in her hair at all times. From this LP "E Huli Ho'i Mai" is is terrific song that has, to my knowledge NEVER been covered by anyone else and it's SUCH a great hula tune.
