I have to tell you though, that standing in the Van Gogh exhibit in LA in 1994 I was moved to tears throughout the exhibit. Knowing about the art and his life and then seeing his work right there in front of my eyes! It was overwhelming! Music and art - all kinds of art - is meant to evoke a response. Joy, happiness, elation, introspection, thoughtfullness are all part of that. So you do understand the feelings that art gives to people!
