I recently talked to a friend of a friend, who as a teenager used to get into the closed down Lake Pontchartrain Beach amusement park in the 80s. Apparently it stood around for a while, slowly rotting. What a great place to play! Well, one of the fun and games they used to have was going into the Bali Hai, which supposedly still had all its tables and chairs and decor, and taking the mugs out of the boxes and having fights throwing them at each other, smashing them into pieces. He now cringes thinking about it, of course.

To the Tikiphile, this is akin to one of those post-nuclear movies depicting the devolution of civilized humanity. :)
