Would you prefer Tiki as 'mainstream' or 'underground'? - General Tiki

But, on the other hand, it may have all mutated to rainforest cafe and margaritaville, and that would not be cool! Tiki saw a huge decline in popularity, obviously...but how cool would it be (for example) if the Tahitian terrace restaraunt in Disney was still going strong? I mean, what was their reasoning behind closing it? A decline in the popularity of tiki? Or termites?
