Yesterday's sunset:

I spent the day yesterday working on my Cocojoesbrady ripoff pendants to fill all my preorders. It was a little to chilly in my house for the resin to set, so I set everything up in a warmer spot.
Here's my work station:

Finished up with these:

Looks like I need to make a few more tomorrow. I didn't anticipate the overwhelming response I would receive...

Today's sunset:

Today, I worked on the drumtables. I had to taper all the legs and make thier depth uniform. It was about 6.5 hours of banging with mallet.
First one done:

Same thing all over again for the second one, now done

I'll hit them with the sander tomorrow and then let them sit for a few days to dry up some before I carve up the details

On Sunday, I went up to Bamboo Ben's shop for his nooner.
I set up a little table to sell some of my stuff. Here's my vending spot:

table stuff:

carved stuff:

I sold all my tikis!

I put a big box of non tiki matchbooks out at 10 for $1 to draw people over to my vending area who would otherwise not come by. The hope was they would sit there sorting through matches for a while and buy something that they saw at my table. I had a pocket full of Trader vics and Bali hai matches in my pocket, and whenever I saw a tiki collector guy approaching, I would flip one of the tiki matchbooks on top of the pile. time and time again a tiki collector guy would see the tiki bar matchbook on top and start digging for more. The trap was baited and set...
Here's how it worked:

they were like 5 deep...
Check out how Boris is blocking out everyone from getting good access to the matches. No way anyone is going to ookoo a good matchbook from him

Ben did a lot of hard work making every square inch of the shop look perfect:

It's the details that make all the difference

I just got my computer working again after a couple months and I've been getting it set up for hours today so I have to once again delay in answering all the old posts...I'm computer burnt.

Buzzy Out!
