But not only is his sarcasm really forced, he doesn't realize that he is repeating almost word for word the cliches that journalists used in the 1970s and 80s to ridicule Polynesian pop and its customers. An amazing Deja Vue: We, re-born as Polynesiacs, they the media, re-incarnated as the cynical "Good Taste" police. This must be an ancient battle of good vs. evil! The food thing is unfortunate, but we have been thru that here. Too bad it is in the press now.
