Very interesting answer, Thank you! you got me thinking a lot.
And you are right, any kind of person and approach to art are equally valid really, is more a manner of personal taste, i guess...
What I really wanted to say was that, in my opinion ( taste and way of living), the connection that a person (artist or not) can have with life, is what makes me tick, what makes it interesting to me... Is that honest reflexion, what I look for in art, and is what makes it meaningful to me...
what ever style you have, that inner search is what ultimately shows on each artist results, even if they don't want to think about it (I think...)...
So to my point of view is important to work on the honesty, and on the connection you want to have too, not only the one you do have (and maybe don't like)....
For some reason you think sweetness and love are important, even if is not how you are all the time...
So by "having a life" I didn't mean hanging with people, I meant connecting with them, and with life ... I totally agree on the quality/quantity thing.
What I'm not sure is if I agree is on the lack of all that, and doing stuff over and over... That's what I've meant..
and don't worry, when i said I think your art is sweet as it can get, I've meant, is the sweetest limit I can relay too...
Is not that I only see sweet. I see sad or melancholic, a little to much brain activity, some search for innocence that seems a little distant..... the colors seem to me like a mostly calm centered even a little cold angle , with plashes of hope, or happiness or madness....
I think it's very interesting and that it shows a very interesting honest person too, that's why like it....
I'll go back to my cave now, I promise :)
