Hey Jim! Super yummy Lapu Lapu's at the Tiki Ti and you love me for the suggestion, right? I bought my first one and Jeff bought my second (thx again Jeff! :) ). . . I have bought crap martini's for $12 at stupid marble and stainless martini bars that were never worth the price, 'cause that is a COLD mistress, my friend. At least for the $9 you get the great ambiance of the Ti. I love it there, it's just nice and raw and funky and earthy. I love me a good divey bar that has their main focus on the cocktails. I don't even care if people smoke, tho' the cigars are a bit much. HOWEVER, I also love Kona, the Bahooka, Tonga Hut, Purple Orchid (hi Dave and Rebecca !) Hey, I had some of the best Lapu's at Buster's Beach House in HB when Marie was mixing, so ya never know. I guess what I'm trying to say is, you just gotta take each place on it's own merit. Buy one or two, go another day. I'd rather pay $9 for one good drink than get all the free Mai Tais in the world that are un-drinkible. I guess I'm resolved to the idea that everyone is raising prices and trying to find a way to turn a buck.
xoxo, Kiki
Just my 2 cents worth ~ Saving my pennies for gas to get to the good cocktails!
