Yeah, that was another problem. The SMs only played covers, no originals. It would have been real hard to put out a CD without paying a lot of money for licensing...

The Hula Girls will be focusing on originals. A CD will definately be in the works! It just might take a while! We will probably go back to the distillery, an all-analog studio in Costa Mesa where Mike McHugh, the genius engineer/producer has created magic for many punk bands.

The SMs did record two CDs, both which I have copies of if anyone ever wants to hear them. I recorded and produced the whole session using my equiptment. Did all the mixing. It turned out pretty good. Has that old sound. (I recorded my bass with just a microphone, for example) but we never could have sold them or made them generally available. However, I did burn copies for a lot of people on TC, and gave them away at some of the gigs we did.
