"They're city-owned and maintained trees," said Joe Arranaga, Oceanside's deputy director of public works. What Tustison did ---- artistic or not ---- is "defacing city property," Arranaga said Thursday.

That is the bottom dollar. They were NOT his trees, nor on his property. they were in the city owned landscaping next to the sidewalk. Had those trees been on his property in his yard, the city wouldn't have bothered him.

And are you talking fist fight, or belligerent arguing?
