There are numerous photo books out about Havana, and this is one of the best, yet they all concentrate on its prevalent colonial architecture, and the "charm" of it's patina and decay. This esthetic, together with the 50s cars, the cigars and rum, and the music, has become somewhat of a cliche of Cuba. Very little has been published on Havana's mid-century modernism, which equally deserves to be preserved.
