Ahh, the old forgot-it-was-wrapped-up-in-the-towel-and-shook-the-towel blunder: unlucky.. It was looking good too. Thats an oddly 'clean' break for nephrite; is it 'Aussie Black' jade? There was some debate as to the structure of this stone when a local supplier started importing this stuff (despite having all the right 'ingredients' to be regarded as jade some insist that the 'felted' nephritic structure is missing - hence it isnt as strong as it could be..

The matau's looking good - be careful with it! :wink:
