Kia ora All- Mooney- quote: "the section below the mouth is that gonna be the tounge? If so that will be a Aweasome tounge."Cheers! Like a lot of my designs, elements can have multiple meaning/purpose. The 'tongue' in this case is also the 'body' of the Tiki figure, but is mainly in the form of a toki-Poutangata/adzeblade. Flynny- You like that old rougue dont you? The fact is I had a big sort through of the Box recently & put away over half the carvings as a bit of a time-capsule (pieces that for one reason or another I cant face finishing); thankfully ol' One-Eye was not amongst those pieces and is now one of the few rattling round the bottom of the newly-spacious Box. Perhaps he might turn that grisley ol' eye toward the bench one of these days.. arrgh! GMonster- thanks mate! **speaking of 'other jade jewellery' (ie, non-tiki), check out MrsTTTs latest score.. Sorry to hear your having computer trouble - my sympathies are about the only technical help I can offer.. :D On with the show.. ..to be contd: contd.. ---- **Off topic quickly; this is another example of some of my non-Tiki work. This piece almost made it to a gallery but a small flaw (lower left) let MrsT talk me into keeping it for her collection. Oh well, she's the accountant.. ---- And a newbie. Working title 'LLT-nose:MKII' - with acknowledgements to one of Mr Ruziks smaller TroubleMakers; shanksh! (Im bouncing off that nose Kinny - mirroring it in those eyebrows - POW - and in the knees! hmmm, not so sure about those..? On the butt, sure. Loving it!) Ive learned a lot from that nose dude, seriously. Its my muse.. Digging this one myself, so will proably keep rolling with it unless something urgent comes up. Stay tuned Tama :) |
