Does this location sell moai bowls, or anything worthwhile? He suggested some Trader Vic's Rum, that might be a better idea. Do they sell it there or are local liquor stores the best place to find it?

You might try Lee's Discount Liquor Stores. There are at least 3 or 4 of them around town and in Henderson. There is one on the south Strip about 2 blocks north of the South Point casino. You can't miss it. They have quite a large selection of about everything.
