Is this Witco? I found it at a local "antique" store. It's about 20+ inches tall and very heavy. I was told the woman who brought it in had it for 25 years. She was selling it because her grandson was afraid of it. She said it had the crack in it when they bought it. The dealer didn't know where she'd originally bought it. There are no markings on the bottom.

I don't want to say what I paid until I know if it's really Witco....
