Concrete casts rarely have markings. Unfortunately, there are no exterior or interior visuals from that location, except the one post card here, and that has dropped out:

I doubt kctiki is still active here, maybe he/she would recognize them.

I still wonder WHERE Irving Weisenberg got the image of that Tiki from when he created the rendering of the Philly Kona Kai from which Marriot's developed their logo Tiki from. We do know that the original is at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco, but nobody has gone there yet to check which books the Tiki was published in. Maybe, since Weisenberg worked at Armet & Davis in L.A., he did get it from that newspaper article I mention in this post:

...but it was more common that designers used Oceanic art books.
