Everyone who said they will boycott Trader Vics Vegas should now consider themselves properly chastised. (BTW, did anyone say they will boycott?)

Everyone who said they didn't like the decor, should "quit yer bitchin." I'm not sure I see what's so bad about having that discussion here on TikiCentral, a site where we celebrate the BEST of this style. Like I said before, maybe we'll see more pics that look spectacular, but at least that one photo was not something I'd celebrate. I don't see any contradictions in speaking freely about the things we like and don't like, while also being "humble" enough to not expect the whole world to cater to our tastes.

TV-Vegas is doing what it HAS TO DO to SURVIVE in vegas. (Taboo Cove is an excellent example....decor out the ying yang w/ horrible drinks---and they tanked!)

Sounds like this is saying the Taboo Cove formula was...

Good decor + bad drinks = failure

Therefore the new Vegas Trader Vics formula is...

Bad decor + good drinks = success!

This logic sounds familiar, but that doesn't necessarily make it valid. I prefer the Forbidden Island formula...

Great decor + great drinks = success!
