Agreed that its not nearly as cool as say Atlanta.

It is 100% a lounge. Not a traditional tiki bar.

But there's now a place in Vegas to get a REAL Mai Tai (not the pineapple drink with the dark rum float everyplace else gives you) and some good grub.

To me, this is the MOST important thing.

Do I wish it was all thatched out with bamboo & a faux volcano and a waterfall? hell yeah.

Will I boycott this location becasue it doesn't have those things? Absolutely not.

The ulta-lounge is what's hot in Vegas right now.... There's a volcano in front of the Mirage...Hawaiian Marketplace has the wahines & fire dancers....there's tiki if you're willing to look for it.

The two giant tikis may not make the place "tiki", but isnt tiki all about the attitude moreso than the decor? And while there I got nothing but positive vibes and tasty tasty cocktails.

I suppose no one here has a favorite asian resteraunt that has NO tiki decor, but has kick ass polynesian food & drinks, right? Would you throw these places under the bus as well?

The place is certainly like no other TV, or the Mai Kai, or , and yet under all the glam & ultra-ness....its Vics.

I cant explain it. I walked in thinking "uuughhhh...why did they go in this direction?" but after talking with the managers & servers, and eating & drinking for a bit, I gotta say, I was diggin it.

My 2 cents. Go for yourself before you decide.
