I think this location is a very unique challenge and has to be in tune with modern Sin City Vegas if they want to be successful (Taboo Cove already tried traditional, right?).

In my opinion, Taboo Cove failed because they did not keep it traditional....not because of the decor. First of all, it was impossible to find and secondly, they played hip hop. Which rap fan/ hip hopper do you know that enjoys Traditional tiki bars. I'm sure they felt really uncomfortable in this Bosko paradise.

TV has an amazingly better location than Cove could ever have dreamed of. If it had decor (and ambience) to match, it would be a winning formula. Problem is that today's execs have no clue (check out the "modernization" of Hanalei's Islands Restaurant) Somehow they think that stark white walls and minimal decor are "oh so cool"!! More like "oh so clueless"!!
