Well I'm ready to put this to rest. I feel that teaKEY's dad had good intentions when he made the mug but in many ways the situation could have been handled better. I just think asking an artist BEFORE making a product (in my opinion it becomes a product when you ask the artist to sign a card to go with it) from the artist's design is the respectful thing to do. I don't claim to be the one and only unique artist, as any artist knows we are influenced by other artists and different things we see in our lifetime, it's all been done under the sun. The talent comes in putting your own spin on things. If people decide to try and make a name for themselves or make money off my designs then best of luck to them.
