During the war they couldn't import rattan from Asia so they made it from bent ash and burned in the faux rattan marks. I have the matching barstools. Very collectable!

Nice find! That is actually made of Ash. It's from the HW Ashcraft line. During the war they couldn't import rattan from Asia so they made it from bent ash and burned in the faux rattan marks. I have the matching barstools. Very collectable!
