Some overlapping core drill cuts at the top, then in from the bottom with the saw to meet them. A bit of work with some heavy burrs/drums in the 6mm collet and the waste was all gone. I made a couple of other tusk "blanks" at the same time. The tikis will have bodies, arms etc, and the free spaces will have some surface decoration.
