Lovin the pallette on this one and the former one! the background is all dreamlike,then the black outlines solidify it and bring the faces to life! It's fun picking out which face is from what culture...i think they all draw from the same well.....Been relaxing and reading this taschen book on the Symbolists...Gaugain seems to be the only one to draw his influence from polynesian sources, but the others drew from a kaleidescope of myths and legends...If you haven't already taken a crash-course in them (which i suspect you already have) you should give 'em a gander!
