The Moko work sure is spectacular Ben. Lookee what I found on page1 of my new/2nd hand book, 'The Art of Tahiti' by T.Barrow...

The Maori-Moko'ed-Moai also has Rarotongan/Cook Isld influence! Those Ancients really took over on this one & wrapped the whole Pacific in there! :lol: :wink: I still take daily joy in him & know he has much to teach me yet! In fact Ive looked at him so much I reckon I could tackle a BenZified-Moai myself! (boasts the young fool!) :lol: er, not this week though...

-Before I forget; the tattooed chief is 'Te Po' (Te Pou).
