I don't know how he does it either. But the first time he set up and played with us, he did not know the songs.

Did'nt seem to matter. He played everything like he was making a record. The perfect splash here, the awesome crash there. It was like watching a zen master dropped in a barrel full of live eels.

The guy is just scary good.

I was watching him switch from sticks to mallets for the radical cymbal role, almost at the speed of light. I kept on hearing these funny sound effects, whistles, gongs, what-not..I even thought I was hearing Indonesian gamelans at one point.

I actually want to have his babies. Little squids, I guess.
