I too use the Warren handle for holding the flexcut chisels, but it makes no difference if it is a veiner or a v-liner, you just can't get a straight consistent cut groove with anything but the hook knife. You Can use them for sure but the end result will never be the same. The only tool that comes close is the wood burner and that only gives you a burnt line, no v-groove thats nice and clean.
