You're right, the media must be approached. But we're still groping toward how to organize. Contacted thusfar: Trader Vic's Corporate -- several contacts, last contact today, they are preparing to release a public statement within the month. Former Mayor Tanenbaum, BH Homeowners Assn. -- several contacts; interested in our efforts, sent copy of first working draft petition, say they want to be kept informed. They have had some media interest and were interviewed by Linda Miller at ABC, by KCET (reporter unknown), and NBC (reporter unknown), all within the week of 1-22 through 1-29. California Office of Historic Preservation -- contacted by by ST and SOK, waiting for their reply. LA Conservancy -- contacted, waiting for their reply. Meeting planned at Trader Vic's BH on Saturday, 2-17-07, at 5:30pm, to further coordinate campaign efforts. (TomSlick's recent info will be of great help between now and then.) TikiShout about this at 7:00pm tonight, same as last two weeks. Ojaitimo T cannot moderate, but hopefully the faithful will stand for him. If anybody else wants to paddle this canoe, now's the time.
