Howdy Jen...the breastplate is about 65mm x 37 mm (2 5/8 x 1 1/2 inches). The shell part is extremely thin, little more than 1mm in places. Pearl shell is like nothing else in terms of how fine it can be ground without compromising the strength and is just about my favourite material. Now I need to work out how to attach the frigate bird to the background.

Cheers for stopping in Marcus, we don't see enough of you around here these days. How's that big tekoteko going?
