My move to Hawaii was my 31st lifetime move. And I'm 47! The military lifestyle is hard on a person. My Dad was military, I was for 4 years and my husband still is...

In addition to my theory that there are bugs everywhere I have a theory that there is beauty everywhere! I have loved something about almost every place I have visited or lived... The two places I didn't like were East Berlin and Manila, Philippines. East Berlin was a scary place, so that has probably changed. And Manila was so polluted and dirty. My husband has traveled more than I have. His list of places to never go again is headed by Nigeria!

My husband was also on a military trip with participants from 35 countries, all from the Pacific Theater, as the military calls it. They went to several countries and in China he made a fuss at the table and wouldn't eat dog! The guy hosting was insulted. My husband told them he just knew if he ate that dish our dog would know when he got home! In Okinawa we used to see people skinning dogs to eat. And when in Germany we saw dog fur coats for sale. In a nice department store. Triple YUCK!

Here is a photo taken in my front yard:

DOG!!!! That is just wrong....That's weird about Germany, because they are a dog loving society. When I was there, we went into restaurants and people had their dogs with them...No health code issues, you could bring your dog into a restaurant while eating..

Weniki, another nice photo...more jealous than ever :)
