Tiki and Surfing both originated in ancient Hawaii, both as a spiritual tradition, so they are HISTORICALLY RELATED. 2.) Tikis were worn (among other things!) in the 60s and 70s as good luck charms by Californian and Hawaiian surfers, so they INTERSECT on a POP CULTURE LEVEL. 3.) As an actual experience, surfing and Tiki culture are quite DIFFERENT. There is no Black or White only: They have their meeting points, and they are very much their own thing, too.
